I wrote this song on the way from visiting a terminally ill relative. My family had just gone through the pain of losing a close family member, and now we were dealing with a cousin who had breast cancer. I was riding and God gave me the words to this song. I began to think, "Just when you think everything is ok and things are going smoothly in your life, watch Satan come and try and knock you down." This is how this song came to be.

Desperate times within your mind, Still you cannot give. You're thinking when will it be your time, In God you should always trust. The doctor said there is no way, no matter what they say. Cause everything is gonna be ok. Just when you build up watch satan come and try to tear you down. Just keep your head up, God's gonna turn your situation around.
Your peace of mind is under attack, but you gotta hold on. And what the adversary took you gotta take it back, that's when you must be strong. You gotta live your life and pay no mind, victory is on the way. Cause everything is gonna be ok, you continue to pray. Just when you build it up watch satan come and try to tear it down. Just keep your head up God's gonna turn your situation around. I know you're getting fed up; you wanna throw your hands up, and cry Lord why! Just you remember that God--He delivers everything will be alright. He's gonna turn it around.
